Instructional Materials & Parent Choice Information

Hey everyone! As you may know, there have been several recent legislative changes regarding instructional materials and resources. Each year, our goal is to provide students with the most age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate materials possible. We also believe parents and guardians should have an active role in helping determine which library materials and resources are best suited for their child.

We encourage you to visit the following link to review our district’s policies and procedures, as well as to access the Parent Choice of Media Center Materials form. This page will continue to be updated throughout the year as new information becomes available. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Read-At-Home Plan

The Florida Department of Education has provided districts with a list of resources aimed at supporting the essential components of reading: oral language , phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. These resources are available in an electronic format and are accessible online. A hardcopy of resources will be provided by the district upon parent request .
