Hamilton County School District Attends Peanut Federation Banquet
Members of the Hamilton County School District team were honored to attend the annual Florida Peanut Federation banquet in Lake City on February 24. Over the past few years, the district has been fortunate to collaborate with the Peanut Federation as part of the Food Backpack Program, which helps combat food insecurity among students.

At the event, Mr. Patrick Howell, Coordinator of Food Service, showcased a sample of the food items typically provided to students through the program. Mr. Chris Combass acknowledges that food insecurity remains a pressing issue not only in Hamilton County but across the nation, significantly impacting student achievement.

Superintendent Lee Wetherington-Zamora and the entire district team extend their sincere appreciation to the Florida Peanut Federation and all community sponsors for their continued support of the Food Backpack Program.

For more information about the program, please contact Mr. Patrick Howell at patrick.howell@hamiltonfl.com or 386-792-7838.
